The trip from Bozeman to Big Sky is a simple one; just head south on Highway 191 from Bozeman or the airport and you’re there. But just because something is simple, doesn’t mean it isn’t extraordinary. This route follows the emerald-green Gallatin River as it weaves through a coniferous landscape, scattered with robust cliff faces and abundant wildlife. On the drive, you might even recognize some of the scenery from Robert Redford’s 1992 film adaption of A River Runs Through It or spot a bison or two roaming on Ted Turner’s massive Flying D Ranch.
