The Holidays are a bustling time in Big Sky Country. It seems like everywhere you turn there’s something festive happening. Use this guide to plan a Montana holiday the whole family will fondly remember for years to come.

Torchlight Parades
Big Sky and Bridger Bowl Location: Big Sky Mountain Village Date: Sunday, December 24th, 2017 Location: Bridger Bowl Date: Saturday, December 30th, 2017 After skiing at Big Sky Resort on Christmas Eve, or Bridger Bowl on December 30th, stick around for a bit and you’ll be able to witness the ski areas’ annual torchlight parades. Unlike other torchlight parades, the flame handlers at these events are on skis, creating a fluidly stunning visual experience set to a high-alpine backdrop.

Christmas Day Church Services
Just because you’re on ski vacation during Christmas doesn’t mean you have to miss out on Christmas church services. Here’s a list of Chapels that would love to see you:
Big Sky: Big Sky Chapel (Big Sky Meadow Village) 8:00 am, St. Joseph’s of Big Sky Catholic Mass 9:30 am: All Saints in Big Sky (A shared ministry of the Episcopal and Lutheran churches)
Bozeman: Resurrection University Parish (MSU): 10:00 am: Christmas Day Mass
